Upon Reflection It Became Ideal

This 6'4" x 4' box is a collaborative work completed by my partner Orion Swann and I. The box can be entered through one corner. The places cut each side contain two-way mirror which reflects whatever is around it on the outside, but on the inside you can see the outside world through the panes. Placed upon the inside of the panes are images from my life such as people, places, and objects of significant meaning. As the panes increase in height they have more transparent images through which to observe the outside world accumulated upon them. The images represent the build up of memories and experiences that may distort our vision as we get older. The box could be a place of respite and/or confinement to the participant inside.
